Welcome to The NEW Sonic Zone!

After a month of preparation, the new and improved TSZ is finally here! We have a new format that will make it easier for you to navigate and for me to update. We now have pages for various Sonic games that provide you with a quick summary of each game and various downloads. This is where you will now find the Cutscenes, Manuals, Magazines and Soundtracks. That’s right, we have Soundtracks again! I am still in the process of adding all of the games’ pages to the site, so please bare with me on that.

The comics viewer has also been overhauled to fit in better with the rest of the site. I have noticed that if you try view the next page of a comic before the entire webpage is loaded, it will only take you to the top of the screen. So make sure that it says “Done” in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen before you try to read a comic. It only takes a few seconds to load, but nonetheless, it can still be a problem for the more impatient users like myself.

Make sure the page is fully loaded.

I did much of the site on little to no sleep, so if you spot any bugs, typos, etc. Don’t hesitate to let me know. Just post it as a comment on this post.

I hope you all enjoy the new site! Let me know what you think!

    wow nice job I wish I knew how you did this haha

  4. Joseppi Says:

    @John
    I did it with WordPress. Along with weeks ot tweaking and transferring content. lol

    The banner adverts on the comic pages are blocking the top of each scan, making the comics difficult to read. I’ve done some checks and it seems to only affect Internet Explorer. In Chrome (and so I assume Firefox), the advert correctly appears on the bottom, like it does on the rest of the site.

    I dig the new design, a few years back I had a website with a similar background, looks great. Of course that old site didn’t have as sharp a design TSZ does. Keep up the awesome work.

    Thank you James for letting me know about the I.E. problem. Luckily it was just a problem with the footer file and was easily fixed by removing it from that page. I imagine the javascript from the comics was somehow interfering with it.

    Thanks Andrew, it took a lot of trial and error before I was finally happy with it. I’m sure I’ll continue to tweak it here and there over time.
