Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was released in 1992 for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and a much larger game than it’s predecessor. The game introduced many staples in the Sonic universe that remain today such as the spin dash attack, Miles “Tails” Prower and Super Sonic. It’s a favorite by many people and has been re-released on many consoles over the years.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Game Gear and Master System was a very different game from its Genesis/Mega Drive counterpart. Instead of having Tails as a playable character, Sonic has to rescue him. The gameplay is also a little different from other Sonic games of its time. You can ride in mine carts and even fly on a hang glider! This has been regarded by many as one of the hardest Sonic games in existence.
